Wendy Hauffen began shooting just like many others, eager to learn. As her passion grew, she looked for other women to shoot with who shared her passion. Over the years, she heard many people, especially women, express their interest in shooting but did not know where to begin or were too intimidated to go on their own. Wendy decided to become an instructor in order to educate and instruct women (and men) in firearms, and she soon realized she had found her true calling.
She currently works at a local gun range as a Range Safety Officer and as an instructor, including a ladies only pistol fundamental class. In addition, she is one of two chapter leaders for the San Diego chapter of The Well Armed Woman (TWAW) Shooting Chapters, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. She is also actively involved with San Diego County Gun Owners (SDCGO).
She is happily married and lives in San Diego, California. She and her husband are both NRA Certified Instructors and enjoy sharing shooting experiences with friends and family. They both enjoy music, playing pool, snuggling with their cats, going on foodie adventures, and of course the local gun range.
